Program Description:

It is difficult to predict when in-person experiences will be available and we don’t want you to miss out on a valuable international experience that will prepare you for the globalized virtual world that awaits you upon graduation.

This program is ideal for students who wish to immerse into Spanish language and culture and take most courses in Spanish. Designed for students at the high intermediate and above Spanish language level, this program allows you to improve your Spanish proficiency through academic immersion while exploring local culture. You'll attend class with other international students from North America at the University of Seville (USS); advanced Spanish speakers may enroll in a class with host national students. Most classes are taught in Spanish; you may take an elective course taught in English. In addition, you can gain hands-on experience and give back to your host community through an optional service learning course.

Students take classes at the CEA Seville Center and University of Seville. Enjoy interactive courses that incorporate a global perspective at the CEA Seville Center. Your learning comes to life through hands-on experiences that turn Seville into a living classroom. The Center is conveniently located in the center of the city, near Seville’s stunning la Giralda cathedral. Founded in 1505, the University of Seville is one of Spain’s largest educational institutions. Join other international students in courses taught in your choice of Spanish and English. Students will receive a transcript from University of New Haven, CEA's School of Record, and the University of Seville upon completion of their program.

Program Fee

The program fee is set by CEA. CEA will invoice UWM for the program fee and this fee will be posted to students' PAWS accounts in addition to CIE administrative fees and mandatory health insurance fees. Please visit the UWM study abroad "Fees & Policies" page for details about program fees. Students should consult the CEA website for latest program cost projections and inclusions and exclusions.
Scholarships and Grants Financial aid, scholarships and grants may be used for our programs.
