Intensive Arabic in Amman, Jordan (Summer)

The Summer Intensive Arabic Program in Amman, Jordan offers two 4-week sessions. All students take Modern Standard Arabic (5 credits/session) and Colloquial Arabic (1 credit/session), for a total of 6 credits per session. Classes meet five hours per day, five days per week. All levels, from Beginner to Advanced, are available.

Session 1 runs from mid-June to mid-July and Session 2 runs from mid-July to mid-August. One summer session covers the material usually presented in one semester on a U.S. campus. Students are given placement tests on arrival and placed in the level appropriate for their Arabic language proficiency.

AMIDEAST apply

PLEASE NOTE:
Because this is a UWM-approved program and students earn UWM credit, interested students must submit their application through the UWM CIE study abroad office. To avoid duplication, this program provider’s application requirements are incorporated into the CIE study abroad office’s application. Please meet with a study abroad coordinator early in the process to learn more.

Program Fee:
Please see the top of the program page for cost information. Click on the term you are interested in and you will be directed to a budget sheet that contains program fees and other important financial information.

The program fee is set by AMIDEAST.  AMIDEAST will invoice UWM for the program cost and this cost will be posted to students' PAWS accounts in addition to CIE administrative fees and mandatory health insurance fees.  Please visit the UWM study abroad "Fees & Policies" page for details about program fees.  Students should consult the AMIDEAST website for latest program cost projections and inclusions and exclusions.
